Hellloooooo,
This year is ending in two days? Time really does fly! In this email, I'm spilling the beans on the highlights and low points of 2023, throwing in some productivity hacks, lessons learned, and more.
I'm not holding anything back here. I'm sharing it all in the hope that it sparks something in your own life.
Big Wins
Went on a Trip to Nanital and discovered a friend and a foe – the desire for more. It's a bit of a double-edged sword, you know? It can be destructive but also builds you up, as long as you keep it in check.
Scored good revenue from branding projects starting in Q3 of 2023.
This newsletter became a habit! Wrote weekly throughout 2023 for the first time. I hope you found value in it because it helps me clarify my ideas. I highly recommend trying it out yourself.
Made an awesome friend (I bet she's reading this!). We're dreaming of running a business together someday, so stay tuned.
Stayed true to myself. Didn't get too caught up in competition or other people's journeys. It could be the biggest win of all.
Was actively posting on LinkedIn and got 13K+ views and impressions on a single post. Crazy :D
Big Losses of 2023
Decided to withdraw from my position at Eleads Media. Looking back, I would have been disappointed to know this back in 2022.
Lost a bunch of friends. I wrote about de-friending, and it did affect me a bit. Tried my best, though.
I fell short of my Reading Goal. Turns out, life had other plans.
Only created a little art, thanks to time constraints or poor time management in Q4 of 2023.
SPIRIT of 2023:
Embracing femininity, leaving behind the shield of masculinity. I'm trying to balance both, and so far, I’m good.
Get to it, slowly and steadily - nothing that starts fast ends up running longer. Be it a relationship or a venture.
Reaching out to people weekly should be a habit. DM-ing people on Twitter/LinkedIn is probably the highest return of that platform. Taking the shot, approach people - and get that chance. I have had some great conversations out of that.
Sitting with yourself is much better than sitting in chaos. Yes, clarity gives the brain the direction of getting things done or any decision.
Productivity unlocks of 2023 (big and small)
Make a vision board, and make that your desktop and phone wallpaper. Remove the icons from your desktop - make it clutter-free. Look at what you want to achieve every time you open your devices. [Will share this on IG probably]
Have home-cooked food. I can’t stress enough about this; it helps your cash flow get saved, and health, of course.
DND mode on the desktop and mobile during work hours and self-care days. No brainer. Don't let push notifications push you around.
Scheduled weekly hobby time, something non-work related that you love. I'm getting back into writing more and clicking photographs. What's it for you?
Last but not least, journal. Write, either digitally or physically, on paper. Writing out your mind helps you navigate better.
Well, this was about me; how has it been for you? Write back to me, or we can schedule a call sometime? Check here for more.
Sending love and hugs,
Wajiha
